Being a Ghost Story of Christmas, commonly known as A Christmas Carol, is a novella by Charles Dickens, first published in London by Chapman & Hall in 1843 and illustrated by John Leech. A story where there is a need for change. The message it gives is that life is not as cruel as we think, but we must choose to see the beautiful things around us.

On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of Marley, his former business partner. Marley’s selfishness condemned him to misery in the afterlife, and he warns that Scrooge faces a similar fate.
