The individual, who is also the narrator tells him to “go” is only seen by their huge arm and pointing finger. He suggests wacky and bizarre ways for Marvin to leave (even though he does not mind how), but they all end with the him repeating the point. After all the suggestions are listed, the individual points his finger very close at Marvin to firmly confirm that he orders him to leave the room. Marvin finally complies and decides to go by foot. The individual waves goodbye to him.

It concerns the titular character, Marvin K. Mooney (an anthropomorphic dog-person) who is being told that it is time to go by unseen individual, possibly his father. Exactly where he is to go is never specified, though it maybe to bed, given that he is wearing a pajama jumpsuit.
